  • Flexible, latex free material helps make a snug seal to mask.
  • Easier ventilations with comfortable soft material with flared, ergonomic oval shaped end.
The soft material makes it easier for the student’s lips to seal around the mouthpiece thus reduce air escaping.
  • Mouthpiece does not have a filter. Rondex does not use filters. Tests have shown filters are not effective. [ How good are FILTERS on CPR devices? ]
  • Use on training masks with 15mm ID/22mm OD.

How good are FILTERS on Masks?
  • Test results on microbiological filters which were published in The Journal of Emergency Medicine, Vol. 9 1991, were shown not to be effective in CPR devices.
  • Filters are porous and allow moisture to pass through.
  • Filters have a very short shelf life.
  • The efficiency of filters are measured under dry conditions, not the moist conditions that are found during CPR. The efficiency under dry conditions can even drop as much as 3% during the first six months of shelf life.
  • Filters will wick moisture from a wet surface which it may touch, i.e. a patient's mouth or a manikin face, to the operator side.
